Terri Lyons
Philadelphia based writer and speaker; Terri Lyons has been telling stories with a poetic twist for the past several years. Terri blends the landscapes of music, history and family emphasizing its impact on the present in a union of poetry, short stories, and lectures. Her range extended further as she began to use her talent on the theater stage in supportive roles or as a narrator.

She had authored several books including her latest Light of the August Moon highlighting the black excursion thru the 20th century.
She has partnered with the African American Museum in Philadelphia, teaching history with trivia and short dissertations connecting struggles from the past with current dilemmas. She gives a voice to significant people, especially women about whom we seldom hear.

Currently, Terri is scriptwriting short stories for Beacon Theater Productions and has a podcast, ‘These Cousins of Ours’. She is also administrator at a local hybrid learning center tutoring students and teaching black history.
